In a few short words/sentences, tell us about your cat's personalities.
Diego is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to climb trees and dig his paws into the sand. He is a dandelion eater and, yeah, a mum's plant killer too. He loves to walk around with toys in his mouth and he would use all his charm to keep his precious butt on the dining table. He uses us as a pillow every evening and night and he is the cutest purr machine from 4 to 7 am. ❤️
How has your cat transformed your life from the moment you've met him till now?
We adopted Diego right before the Coronavirus lockdown and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.
Of course, our work from home is not that productive sometimes, because he is so cute and needy. We have to hide ALL our cups and glasses because Diego loves to drink from them.
Instead of road trips, now we spend our weekends building a cat tree or walking our furbaby at local parks.
But the most important thing is that Diego makes our home so warm and cozy as it has never been before! Every day starts with his purr. No matter how tough some days are, he always makes us smile.
What does your cat mean to you?
Diego is our precious furbaby ❤️ He means joy and unconditional love to us. He is our family and we feel so lucky.
How did you and your cat first meet? Tell it to us in the form of a short story.
When we came to the shelter there were many adorable cats. I really wanted to adopt them all but I had to choose only one. After 3 hours, I finally picked a girl. She was very sweet and she had a black heart on her nose. But still, deep down in my heart, I felt something wasn’t right.
At the very moment when we were about to leave the room with the kitty, a foster mum came in with a cat carrier. I spotted a tiny kitty in it. Out of 3 new kittens, I only looked at him. It was true love at first sight!
When the kitty went out of the carrier, surprisingly, he wasn’t afraid of the new environment at all. He was friendly with all the new cats and people around him. He looked curious and so awfully cute! We knew he was THE ONE we were looking for so long! His name was Diego and that’s how your journey began.
What do you think your cat thinks of you?
I think Diego knows we are his Family. Also, he uses us as entertainers sometimes and as his pillow at night.
Your cat is part of your family. What are some things they do that make you think that consider you part of theirs?
Diego follows us everywhere around the house or outdoors and he expects the same from us no matter what he does. He loves when all family members together and he is a bit worried if some of us aren't home.

Why do you feel that it is important to show the world that Cats are Family?
I love the fact that cats are an enigma, even to their owners. Cats are amazing creatures and they have always been a big part of my life and family. As a Pet Sitter and a Pet Portrait Artist I got to know many families with cats. They are all truly unique.
Many cat owners call me a Cat Whisperer because I easily become friends even with shy cats. I think it's because I learned to understand their unique personality. Isn't it what we should do in our family? I believe many cat owners can improve their lives and relationships with their cats by treating them like family members but with respect to their true nature at the same time.
